When acclimating a new cat, a soft enclosed hiding-hole style bed is really a requirement. A secure safe place from which to sally forth a bit at a time is highly valued.

She currently is in one room with all the amenities; food, water, toys, a cat-tree, and her hiding-bed. After a week or so, that room will become her refuge from which to venture out into the rest of the house after introductions are made.
