I have to say there are some people in my house to whom it would appear I'm working at cross-purposes. Still, this is not a museum or a display, but a home where the door closes on the world outside and we can relax in our own way.

The goal isn't "entertainment ready at all times" for my house is a refuge, not a social venue. That is why there are pubs and restaurants and such. The goal is more one of "simplicate and add lightness", that quote attributed to Colin Chapman of Lotus, though perhaps more accurately should be to Bill Stout (of Ford Trimotor fame).
