Interesting read re the modifications to the Midget.

Have you done any alterations to the gearbox or differential, or would such a thing garner nothing performance wise?

Also why the lower compression head for the US market?
Is it down to the fuel available over there or an emissions issue? If the latter then is there not some dispensation for vintage vehicles?

As for the phone thing we've been with what started as Orange then became EE and in the last 25 or so years have had no problems in all that time so can only offer my empathies with your situation and hope it finds a decent resolution.
