Things are slowly improving on the med front. I'm cleared to drive, so short social forays to lift the spirits in the offing.

I haven't needed the narcotic stuff for a full week as of today, so that is cheering. I'm also cleared to start physical therapy, so general progress, slow but salutary, and actually doing something about this rather than waiting and tolerating it.

Must be a soldier's thing, but I can't stress enough the mental benefits of feeling like one in some way is in control of the situation rather than merely waiting it out.
