Yikes!
A buddy of mine used to put up a loop of track under his Christmas tree every year. One season he included a small tunnel on the backside. One day he fired up his train and ran it at a considerable speed into the tunnel, only to have an eruption of sorts as the family cat came blasting out the opposite end, taking down half of his display.
