Got another 15 minutes in before the knob became too much again. His ignorance of military culture is just ghastly to listen to; thankfully the man shut it down with the comment that innovation is indeed encouraged as is input and ideas, all taken at the proper time and followed by a decision by the commander responsible regarding the course of action going forward. I can't think of a more basic tenet of leadership and doctrine than that. I actually found myself cheering out loud when that point was driven home!

Then the twat has the unmitigated gall to actually interrupt the man!

I can feel the general seething underneath that carefully controlled presence. I must say with some satisfaction that, about time as I want to scream bullshit at the interviewer, the general quietly comes back with the same call-out. I'm feeling a little less out of touch with it all every time that happens.
