I always liked Frog kits because they didn't festoon them with a ton of rivets like a lot of the American kit makers; Airfix was guilty of it too for a while. To this day I despise details-for-details' sake, and with me it probably started with the addition of rivets on plastic airplane kits that the real thing didn't have just to look more "detailed" than the competitors' offerings.

Frog (and Monogram in the US) tended to not have extraneous nonsense. They looked better not to mention the decalling was easier back in the day when kit decals were so thick.
