I've been there a couple of times - it's very impressive - and the airport is just a small part of it. We paid for the 'behind the scenes' tour, and went round the back to see all the automation that drives the model including airport, There's a big stack of planes that 'fly' in and out. The vehicle charging banks are very impressive, cars, trucks, buses etc just pull in and get their batteries recharged. And that apart from the many large scale city scenes, mountains, a river and port area with plenty of activity. I spent a day and a half there with a buddy, we travelled out and back by train all the way from our local station in Harlow. If you go there arrive early as the queues can be busy. They were expanding the space last time I went, with a bridge to link two big warehouses where it's located in Hamburg's old port. Great couple of days
