There I've said it!

Yes let this be our last bastion against the stupidity that surrounds us, the moronic so called brave new world where everyone is perpetually offended, where the word "inappropriate" is shoehorned into every thing from use of language to ones behaviour

Good manners and decency towards each other should be a given and doesn't need legislating for by governments various or self appointed "community leaders" who ever they are.

I'm tired of being told that unless I'm in lockstep with the latest groupthink then I'm some kind of monster with endless "ism's" and "ist's" being appended to my name.

The vapid un-sociable morass that is social media ( a nom de guerre if ever there was one ) I've avoided apart from interest forums and the club Imperial and I'm happy for this to continue.

The latest bit of stupidity to hit the news today is the renaming of a nuclear sub so as not to offend the ####ing French!!!

HMS Agincourt is now to be named HMS Achilles, God only knows what the Greeks will think re that little gem!

Descendants of said ancient battle have no opinion either way it seems and Achilles was unavailable for comment


So yes let a new dawn shed it's light upon our small band of brothers, with more time behind than in front let us dwell contentedly in the confines of the club with convivial conversation and yes lift each other when needed.
