Giving this antique a build, an old Airfix Stuka kit first issued in a poly-bag in 1957. These were boxed when sold in the US market, handled by Model Plastics Corp (MPC). The box art was unique to the US market (lots of explosions and exciting imagery) and labelled as Airfix; the only indication of MPC involvement was the address in the directions to which you were to mail requests for replacement parts.
This graphic brings back a flood of memories. It lead off every Airfix instruction sheet in the American marketplace, telling the modeller the various series on offer and the pricing. I remember skipping lunch at school and adding my lunch money to the paltry hoard of my allowance, with a weather-eye on that graphic, so that I could afford my next project...
