The Dakota is marked as they flew from D-day on in northern Europe. They carried the same black-and-white for the Holland and Rhine drops, a lesson learned when the Navy lit up a serial of the 82nd Airborne during the Sicily invasion.

As far as the Betty, they seemed to be very very inconsistent in their colour green, and pretty much IJN wide. What makes it even more fun is the lack of paint that apparently was an IJN problem. Some photos show about a third of it worn off on some aircraft, and huge colour shifts from the environment in what paint remained. I'm not really convinced about the almost American shade of "army-green" some of the colour-scheme references colour their charts with. I tend to believe the Japanese green was more often than not far more green and far less olive than shown.
