Some years a go a jet black Lucy-like cat found itself on the roof of a 3 storey terrace house over the road from myself. Quite how it got there remains unsolved by myself to this day but it was the smooth all-in-one-movement manner of its descent that I found remarkable.
I did worry about how it would finally arrive on terra firma and should I call the fire brigade especially as the local rook population were now developing more than a hint of swoop and dive schadenfreude at its expense.
I needn't have worried as in one swift singular movement it shinned halfway down the wall hopping from window ledge to porch roof, the dustbins in the yard then finally mother earth.
An incredible muscular feline ballet that left me open mouthed in wonderment and feeling foolish for my concerns over its well being, more so as mog in question, having reached ground level, casually sauntered off whilst giving me a look which seemed to say "don't ever doubt sunshine, don't ever doubt it!"
God ever help us if they develop opposable thumbs! ( laughs. )
