Try not sitting too long as that can inflame the buttock muscle and bring on a sciatic attack as I well know, much to my own chagrin.

The only relief I get when I stupidly bring it on is to kneel on the settee with my arms draped over the back for an hour or so allied with a hefty dose of Tramadol.
