Finished up an old Airfix kit from the 1960s, this one a Lockheed Hudson MkI.





One of my favourite aircraft and a kit I built when I was young more than once. It was only later I learnt one of my relatives was an RAF Sgt. Pilot who was lost flying them in the early years of the war when they were used in daylight coastal raids on the Netherlands and France. Later the Hudson was to come into its own as a U-boat hunter with RAF Coastal Command on the east side of the Atlantic and the RCAF and USAAF on the west side.
