Probably not what you expected given the title.

While we're on about models, a friend of mine sent me a box of badly damaged previously-assembled 1/72-scale tank models that he'd planned to chuck. I intervened and had him send them to me. There are probably a dozen in the box in varying states. Some of them are from kits, some were purchased as finished models.

Rummaging through the contents, managed to find most of the bits for a British Churchill III or IV (a version subsequent to those with the hull-mounted howitzer). Constructed from resin components, managed to get it all back together and, after some careful touch-up, got it back to some level of respectability. A Dragon model, some Chinaman made a decent job of this a decade or so ago...would have hated to see it going into the bin:



That said, never really understood the point of the Churchill, but it seems to have enjoyed some success, especially in its "special" D-Day form(s).

Anyway, still more in the box to be cobbled back together.
