I can commiserate, at least.

Here, the temperatures have not risen above 20f for over a week, and a thick layer of snow with a solid frozen crust covers all for that same period of time. At night the thermometer bottoms out at 5f at best, just below 0 at the most. At least the sun has shown most days but just wearisome cold.

The days are too dam short, but not like I remember on your side of the puddle as you are farther north by a good bit. I seem to remember we're at about the same latitude as Barcelona. Still, the cold and bleak days, you can even hear the owls at night calling, "Why...why...why..."
