Evening all.

Can I first just say a big thank you to the gang and to Madeleine also for your kind words which mean more to us than you could ever imagine.

The long and short of it is that early last Tuesday morning, Denise got out of bed to go to the toilet, passed out and went headlong down the stairs.

Thankfully nothing broken, however all her left side from head to toe is badly bruised. She is still shaken but improving a bit at a time. I have got her a wheel chair, a commode for downstairs use and although I have been the house cook for the last forty years I'm now the head cook and bottle washer too!

Recovery will be slow but I'm just thankful she is still with me. She is a tough old girl who left school at fifteen to work as a burler and mender at Titas Salt's mill in Yorkshire and is a definitely a rugged old Yorkshire mill girl.
