1) The whole 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence thing has pretty much turned into a bunch of Trump branded horseshit and nothing much else shakin'. The Bicentennial was soooo much better. I had one of the official 250 flags up for a while, but even the flag isn't to His liking; no eagles and bullets surrounding His Likeness so it doesn't meet with his approval. He's as much said that only the true believers ("Great Patriots") are welcome anymore, so I took the thing down and put my Army flag back up. My heart just isn't in this shit.

2) Where are the Democrats, those who would want to tip the Congress away and provide a balance of power again, or don't they want to perform their duties and responsibilities? This should be a nouisy raucous election cycle, but the silence is deafening. That lot is doing their best to fade away, and very effective they are indeed. Worthless.

3) Heather, I wish you the very best in your new life, and am gratified to hear your medical issues are for the moment in abeyance. I do mean that sincerely.

However, to wade in amongst your father's friends with a feminist chip and a "Well, boys" is disrespectful to your father. I would not dream of addressing you in such a condescending manner if the shoe were on the other foot, the acid test of true equality. It has been my experience that, when someone thinks to say, "No offence intended", it usually is.
