This one, and many identical in message, is repeatedly run up by the dogs-are-superior crowd, but let's think for a moment.

A lovely list of talents, to be sure, but I don't think 80% of dog breeds meet that list. Think Chihuahua or any of those nasty little "fur-baby" (there's a term that makes my skin crawl) purse dogs remotely measure up to that list reserved for specially bred real working dogs.

Yes, I freely admit the one quality intended as a slam is shared by all breeds of cats. But think it through. You can't teach a dog to crap in a specially prepared box, can you.
