Yeah, totally agree...there's no joy in Mudville. We had nearly 30 family members over to the house for a traditional cookout/crab feed and, frankly, it was not much fun (it being 104F by late afternoon wasn't helpful, lol). Even the town fireworks, seen from the back garden, seemed a half-assed effort.
