The World Cup is a long process of eliminations; currently we are settling the last 16 going into quarter finals.

In USA's last 32 match, one of their players was red-carded for a foul, that red card carries a one-game suspension so he would be sitting out this match against Belgium. Even if the card was questionable, which some say it was, every other team has accepted what comes with losing a player in the next match and played on. That's the game.

In this case, Trump called the head of FIFA and pressured his friend to overturn the ban so Team USA doesn't lose the player, a very important one by name of Balogun. As you can imagine, this caused yet another backlash by the rest of the world against America and its leader.

So, no, I am no longer supporting USA in the World Cup, unless...

Can you imagine the powerful statement if USA's manager, a very well-respected Argentinian by name of Maurichio Pochettino, refused to field Balogun anyway, as a matter of honour, and if the team supported that action as well as Balogun himself? A statement that said "Keep your hands off the sanctity of world sport!"

It would be amazing! Talk about World Cup Glory for Team USA, Poch, and especially Balogun.
