I expect my son to have those same memories, as I too have many old mechanical clocks in this house ticking away and chiming, whistling, and chirping every thirty minutes; many more than would be necessary. I suspect his next abode might not have any clocks at all, the mobile being never far from his face, and can hear him telling his circle all about the aural hell that was his father's house.

Yours is a handsome clock. I'm a longtime antique clock guy, but recently I have been becoming interested in early electrics, both for the overall design and for the electro-mechanics.

They fit right in with my embrace of the "analogue resistance". GRIN!
