I started building Airfix when I was six or so. Most people tell of starting with the Spitfire and I have to wonder if they are just repeating the stereotype story or not. I started with the Sopwith Camel and the Fokker Triplane. Still love building them, so yes the cute AI generated boy is correct about an addiction.

I have my own version of the pegboard Woolies Wailing Wall in my workshop stocked with polybag Frog and Airfix kits. It was my escape as a boy, that and railway models in 1/4"=1', my first kit of that genre a gift from my uncle when I was eight.
