I cannot offer too much as I obviously have never experienced the medical BS you have to tolerate over there and I sense your narrative, as written, is aimed more at fellow Americans to rise up and join you rather than those of us in Blighty.
I personally cannot fathom how medical professionals over there put the fiscal rather than the medical first in every encounter, if what you say is true.
However before 1948 the same applied here too so I suppose it's more of an innate human condition rather than just an American one, albeit one we ditched a while back though expensive private practice is still an option over here also.
All I can offer, Sarge, is please don't let your health deteriorate merely for a point of principle. I'm sure your loved one's would concur with this sentiment.
It is to be hoped you are just letting off steam as they say and you will rise above the negative and look at things in a less jaundiced manner in the days to come.
Either way take care my brother.
Aye.
Fred.
