Corporal!!??
Thanks for the promotion,Colonel as I was a private 9th class (excused boots, khaki drill and war.)
Back in barracks having had a splendid time.
Perfect peace interrupted only by the songs of birds (magical) but oddly enough no gulls.
Skeins of geese filled the sky on perfect autumn mornings, bliss pure bliss.
The first picture shows a bracing autumn sunrise with the wind whipping the sea. Sadly the sounds and smells are not transmittable via a picture.
The second picture shows why Wells has the current title of "next the sea." previous incarnations were "by the sea and near the sea."
Land reclamation mainly for flood defence means the sea is at the end of the long path in the second picture, approximately a mile in length and a good leg stretching walk.
Now we're back in the land of the yapping dog, morons on quad bikes, drug dealers and associated detritus which has me counting off the days until May. (sigh.)
