Ross Report for August 13th, 2021
Random thoughts from under the black Resistol hat following a much needed vacation. I sat in the rays down in Tampa Bay over this past week which is why I did not provide you with a Ross Report last week. We have much to catch up on!
Last night's Thrill Zone was brought to you live on primetime television and we delivered again. The contract signing between Rikishi and Kenny Omega was much like every other contract signing. Expect the Unexpected! Except it was The Great Khali who ruined this bash. Omega and Rikishi are set to due battle for the World title at SummerSlam. Rikishi won the World title at Slammiversary the same evening Kenny Omega won the rights to a future title match. I can't wait for that highly anticipated ppv main event!
I spoke about Great Khali interrupting the World title contract signing. Arn Anderson has been sick of all of the interruptions and two weeks ago on Thrill Zone made Big Show his new Enforcer. Big Show took Khali to task but not without help from Bad Luck Fale. It'll be Bad Luck Fale taking on the Great Khali at SummerSlam with Big Show as the Special Enforcer.
The absence of Super Crazy and Rob Van Dam has much to do with Bill Alfonso pulling his hair out because of these two. Once a well oiled machine, the duo of Super Crazy and Rob Van Dam has been frail. A few weeks back on Thrill Zone they assisted in a big main event win on Thrill zone in that six man tag but for weeks they have been chomping at the bit to one up each other. The gasket has blown and Alfonso has officially agreed to this grudge match against one another to settle their differences once and for all at SummerSlam!
Our tag team division is the bash of the brawlers and these brawlers love tables. Deuce and Domino climbed up the tag team ladder and reached the top only to be planted through a table. Well, Deuce and Domino then planted the Nasty Boys through tables. That is why these brawlers take us to a Tables Match to determine the IWF Tag Team Champions at SummerSlam!
The IWF wishes Brian Meyers and Matt Cardona the best in their future endeavors as they have left the company.
The main event of Thrill Zone last night saw a fatal four way match involving superstars from the Cruiser X Division. Although it was a non title match, EC3 was upset by the likes of Nick Jackson. Mustafa Ali and Matt Jackson were also in this contest. Nick Jackson's victory has earned him a Cruiser X title shot at SummerSlam!
Nick Jackson is going to have to pull double duty at the ppv as he and his brother Matt (The Young Bucks) are going to face Predatory Conquest. Eric Young and Shawn Daivari had some debut on Thrill Zone last night taking out Harlem Heat. Commish Arn Anderson is so excited about the tag division, he made this contest a number one contender's match.
Take care, see you next week!
