"are going to make 'us' rich"??

Does he really think he can bully people and nations into making him rich while they become poorer? When the US is the richest nation already, and while the wealth gap between rich and poor in the US keeps getting worse?

Does he think Americans are going to happily pay the price or extra tax burden that these tariffs will place on them? Just so he can feel rich and powerful??
