The first word told me there was no E, Y, or ER on the end... and no A either.
The second word told me there was no ST on the front OR end, and no I, N, or K... so OU were the only vowels left, and T had to be at or near the end.
Could have been CLOUT, but I chose MOUTH... elementary, my dear Watson! lol
