Sia, I understand the feeling, but we cannot afford to go crazy or panic. Regardless of what happens in our country, we need to be aware of what is happening and to survive, not forgetting what our country could and should be. It has taken generations of planning by those that will benefit from this mess. We will have to do likewise to recreate the dream and undo the damage.


This has happened many times throughout human history and people have had to survive, overcome and rebuild. That is our job, us older people, to remember the actual history, both the good and the bad, and to pass it down to the younger generation, too young to have seen it themselves. Then we must encourage the younger people whose energy will be needed for the long term fight as well as passing down the hopes and dreams for the future, long past our own time.

We are here because we thought we were safe, not noticing the chipping away of our rights, assuming a republic was stable and safe, not remembering how often republics fail and become dictatorships.
