Most of the Americans who actually pay attention know that the GOP is refusing to open the house and that trump has refused to meet with DEMs, so KNOW who is really keeping the government shut down. Whether they choose to recognize that it means the GOP is to blame is another story.
At this rate, however, a majority of Americans will oppose trump and the GOP by the mid-terms, assuming the GOP doesn't find a way to prevent them.
