I think shows what is at the heart of Trumpism. His appeal is to “the forgotten people”… the white male privilege and prominence of the past that many feel has been slipping away.

In this ever changing and evolving world, many men seem to feel lost in their purpose or reason for being. Regardless of age, the suicide rate is highest among men… white and American Indian men in particular.

What is the ‘purpose’ that seems to have been lost for many men? Some would say the main purpose for many men is the three Ps… to Provide, Protect, and Procreate.

In an overcrowded world and changing environment in so many ways… where people are looking for individual rights, freedom, and opportunities to survive and thrive in today’s world… perhaps some are longing for the ‘good old days’?

In the old days… empires rose and fell, and the winners ruled the day. In today’s world, we cannot afford to curb population with the fallout of another world war, and likewise we cannot afford to procreate without restraint. But we still love to see who will win the World Cup, Super Bowl, or World Series. Our ‘Nature’ is hard to change.
