They went from a more-or-less objective but accurate description of the situation to simply reporting what happened and what people said, regardless of whether it was truth or fiction. Journalism became 'news.'

Now it's not always even that. Fox, as we know, is simply extremist Republican propaganda. Ditto other right-wing sources. No one on the Right even calls them on their lies.

This is what have us Trump. We need journalism!
