Bad cops should face justice that follows them so they can't repeat their criminal performance in other cities. They seem to stay a step or two ahead of their notorious past. It takes too long, and too many miscarriage of justice tragedies for their past to catch up with their present.

Same kind of protection goes on for school administrators; especially superintendents. The bad ones, and there are many, always stay a step or two ahead of their past, so the new district has no vision of the trouble they face when hiring him. Former employers stay silent when contacted for reference, knowing anything said may be challenged as slanderous or libelous. So the practice is to say almost nothing. At most is the period of work; month and year to month and year, and nothing else.

I watched my former superintendent do this in six different school districts, and two charter school organizations since I engaged him and lost. He landed his current super job in Houston, being appointed by Greg Abbott over local objections. He is Abbott's kind of man!
