because after he's gone, he must know nobody else will. These monuments he builds to himself may be too big to tear down, so they will be left. They should be torn down, and his money should be spent to do it.

He says many presidents altered the White House. Difference is they sought the proper permissions from those responsible for preservation, and their alterations didn't change the existing structure. In fact he destroyed their alterations and part of the historic building itself, where First Ladies and their staffs did their work. His reckless destruction is an act of absolute disrespect and MISOGENY. Instead of building onto what others built and did, he destroyed it for his utterly selfish indulgence.

His Ark du Trump belongs on the National Mall about as much as a Hitler monument belongs on Jerusalem's Avenue of the Righteous. Hopefully the thing will remain nothing more than a plastic model held in his little hands.

If permission is denied, look for him to try and do it anyway, because the rule of law doesn't apply to this man. His SCOTUS said so.
