It is nice to browse without the annoyance of popups.
AS a TIP I have found that other message boards give you Cookie Options. It takes only a minute to uncheck all nonessential cookies and it is mostly ad free after that. Some banners but no pop ups usually when I do that.
Other browser extensions can help a bit too.
But unchecking the allowed cookies is pretty easy for everyone.
