because “we” are not in charge. And neither is Congress in charge of their own jobs, apparently.. Only dt, miller, vought… are in charge, for all appearances..

Even if Republicans in Congress stepped up to at least somewhat pretend do their job, they don’t like regulating anything, and they don’t want to displease those who have placed themselves in charge of their job… not to be confused with ‘the people’ who actually elected them to take charge and represent THEM..

So… they just don’t really care about having good or well-trained agents doing their job with controlling or enforcing immigration laws. Hell, these people don’t really care about having sensible laws or legal procedures at all. They just don’t care. Their only job is to be sycophants and please their masters, so they can keep their ‘job’ that they have no interest in actually doing.
