First cherry blossom of the season.
Two months early.
Termites nuptial flight.
I parked my car over one,
and at league last night my car was full of
flying male drone termites.
These are soil termites, not the destructive wood termites.
Another proof of spring.

Pikes Peak today.
We played parts of Appalachian Spring yesterday for church service.
Pastor spoke on Lazarus and the renewal around that.
I chose the music for the renewal of Spring.
The Appalachians are old. Old and worn. Life there is old too, and abundant everywhere.
Cades Cove and Shenandoah were settled and crossed long before the Civil War. Endured the Great Depression.
Currier and Ives, and Normal Rockwell depicted Americana life there.
Saturday night was a barn dance. Sunday was church service at the little brown church in the wildwood,
the little brown church in the vale.
We all sang Simple Gifts true to the Copland variations.
We were true to the score. The conclusion is a series of long sighs,
an old man on a porch, in a chair, remembering,
and a woman singing in her home while she does chores.
No more beautiful sound on earth.

I am not sure the MAGAtroids got this, or appreciated it.
After all I am a liberal Democrat.
