Yeah, brace is like a cast. I walk a little stiff because I am trying hard to let the ACL heal, and not do something to tear it again or worse where surgery and a six month recovery lies ahead. Weight to lose too.
City implemented severe water restrictions that will worsen as summer arrives and passes. No outdoor watering at all is allowed. It is alarmingly dry. The 14ers are already in summer mode, and many can be climbed without touching snow from base to summit. I expect many alpine lakes to dry up this summer. Maroon Lake will be the most iconic, and I expect that event to make national news, since it's the most photographed vista in Colorado. The Maroon Bells above a dry mud flat.
Pikes Peak looks normal... for mid July.
The extremely warm "spring" lured most trees to fully leaf out, and last Saturday we had a shock freeze to 20f.
I had and have no idea what to expect. These White Ash were devastated. Other trees weren't noticeably damaged, except all leaves are now really droopy. Those with leaves killed will have to regenerate from axillary buds, IF those weren't also damaged.
Felon tried to get the nuclear codes yesterday. A general stopped him. He is so effing dangerous, and the GOP Congress clearly does nothing to stop him.
We need to toast all our rehab- yours, mine, Sia, Christopher. Old age is NOT for the timid.
