At the very least, promote and pass legislation for future nominees to have to meet certain established guidelines and qualifications to even get a nomination hearing scheduled. trump nominated grossly unqualified people and demanded that squeamish and reluctant Republican senators confirm them else face his revenge. The spineless idjits complied even when they were clearly not impressed.

Do something lasting, like legislation or a constitutional amendment to FORCE the current and future senate to follow reasonable guidelines of at least minimal qualifications to be confirmed.

If nothing else manages to get done after this outrageous assault on our republic, at least accomplish THAT.

Then pass legislation to restrict any future POTUS (executive branch) from stealing any authority given to the legislative and judicial branches for itself. Restrict executive authority to ONLY what is officially its own and add punitive requirements to any representative of any branch usurping the authority of any other branch, including removal from office.
