Not any more. His new crop are every bit as corrupt as he is and actually believed that they and he will always get away with it. The 5th tier crew of lawyers even trust that he'll be loyal to them... in spite of what he did to Rudy and so many others.

They are counting on pardons on his way out of office and discounting that he may either die suddenly or be summarily ousted with zero ability to pardon anyone. OR that he will simply refuse to pardon them because he couldn't care less about ANYONE else. He'd sacrifice his own spawn if it saved him. Or maybe just for fun.
