There were quite a few possible answers after my first two lines. I chose DEMUR simply because it was alphabetically first in my mental list of maybes and it used the 3 letters I had with 2 consonants I didn’t. Two letters that featured heavily in my maybes list. So I took a shot to see if I could get another letter a/o placement of the 3 I had.

I didn't choose FEMUR, even though it kinda seemed more likely, only because F only figured into one answer and D figured into 3 of them.
