They need to DO THEIR JOBS and DUE DILIGENCE by vetting candidates and only confirming those who pass muster.

I also believe that congress should be REQUIRED to meet a certain standard of support rather than a "majority vote" that happened when Harry Reid pulled the plug on needing 60 votes vs a simple majority. Same with confirming SCOTUS appointments.

It was the GOP's endless obstruction/filibuster of Obama's nominations that triggered Reid to finally pull the plug and the GOP's insistence on confirming extremely flawed nominations that triggered eliminating the filibuster on SCOTUS nominations.

The DNC are not angels either, but they've never been SO extreme, but they may go there next.

To prevent unreasonable obstruction going forward, congress should institute a rule that ALL future nominations meet a reasonable standard of experience and ethical standards.

Any rejection of a candidate should require such objections in writing that prove the candidate does not meet the minimum standards.

NONE of trump's regime have met even LOW STANDARDS of qualifications. NONE should have been confirmed. The rule regarding time allowing temporary appointments should be reduced to only 2 weeks to allow for congress to consider & vet a candidate so no substandard nominee can be in place for months as they are now and then replaced with another for months, never having a confirmed candidate in place.
