And 2nd, because it is self-reported, so not accurate by any standard simply because parole boards look with favor more on those who claim to belong to a religious sect than those who don't.

Unfair, certainly, but with something as arbitrary as a select few people deciding on parole for prisoners based on their documented "good behavior" as well as claims of redemption and regret for their crimes, it pays to claim a religion most accepted and understood in America.

There are far fewer people who attend church regularly than those who may claim beliefs for any number of reasons. Look at SES/CE0810. He is a well known Atheist on these boards, yet he attends church with his believer wife and has never told her or his family that he is an Atheist. He has admitted that more than once on these boards.

So who knows who actually is or isn't a believer or an Atheist?
