Alito (Thomas, and Roberts too) are problems.
A fourth felon appointment is a worse decision than Citizens United and Presidential immunity.
This sets into motion two major reforms the next Democratic Congress must achieve. First is to expand SCOTUS so all thirteen American districts are represented by one and only one SCOTUS justice.
Second is to set term limits to SCOTUS appointments. The lifetime idea forces the people to wait until a justice dies for chance to replace. That may take better part of a generation. Too long. Ten years is a good number. Longer than a senator, shorter than a lifetime.
Third is to change how a justice is appointed from the clearly biased and partisan practice demonstrated by unscrupulous men like McConnell and the felon, to a set of nominees submitted by the president AND the leading representative or senator of the other party.
The Sherman summit
Went back up to see how much snow actually fell.
Not much! Not a good start.
