Schumer doesn't get that. He will be slow to act and wrong when he does. Like Garland, he will squander this opportunity and hand reconsideration back to the Republicans, who like after Nixon, refined their ability to corrupt and be corrupted through corruption. I say it again. The GOP is corrupt. Those who don't oppose it, go along with it.

Elevation of Schumer is the same kind of bvllshit that sank the Democrats with Mondale and then the insufferable Dukakis. Both allowed the post Nixon Republican survivors to regroup, streamline their avenues to corruption, and here we are with Trump... essentially Nixon II on steroids.

Voters repeatedly told Democrats NOT to elevate Schumer again. If they do, they begin with throwing sh!t on the mandate they were given. I can't think of anything that will disenfranchise voters faster. This is their second chance. They won't get a third.
