Quite frankly, this is no big surprise in today's politically polarized and highly charged world.
I just had a conversation with my good friend, who owns a local IT business, that I periodically work for when he has large projects. He was talking about how useful he found ChatGPT to be for researching and comparing server systems, and for writing some script files to take care of some maintenance issues. It saved him a lot of time. Low and behold, the next day, I stumble upon this article.
BTW, Graboyes made excellent use of Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey movie that came out in 1968, and it's computer, the HAL 9000. That's always one thing I've found so fascinating about Sci-Fi. Its very often accurate assessments of what the future will look like. Graboyes is a very smart individual, and in this instance, easily picked up on the duplicity. Leftists love controlling as much as they can. That fact is as plain as liquid water being wet. Many people utilizing AI would not realize what goes on at the base roots of these systems. It should frighten most moderately intelligent people that AI can be utilized to surreptitiously steer your thinking in a manner suitable to its programmers.
Case in point:
Does anyone here care to allow "the collective hive-mind of kombucha-swilling geeks in San Francisco to instruct me as to what is and what is not acceptable humor"? Or anything else for that matter.
The Software Bigotry of Low Expectations
ChatGPT happily parodied Donald Trump & friends for me but refused to do a parallel parody of Kamala Harris & friends. In a HAL9000-like tone, ChatGPT said it’s unfair, but IT JUST CAN'T HELP ITSELF.
His experience with AI demonstrates the potential problems with such technology. It all looks quite factual to me. Do you have problems with the facts? State your issues with those then.
You make similar remarks all the time concerning that which you don't care for. Are not other people entitled to the same freedom?
