Found them at another store for $4.50 per dozen. What's up with that? Must be Biden's fault?

I set aside time weekly to put in the same order at three different local stores to see my best results. I save Sam's (mostly) for those things we use A LOT but am very surprised by the quality of their prepared ready to go offerings. Really good.

Brown eggs are "local eggs". The white eggs were from $.50 to $1.00 more. Everywhere else, they were at least $1.50 to $2 more for each size. There's no shortages of eggs, but occasionally not many jumbo eggs, which I usually buy.

Was thinking about it because I made an angel food cake... It takes about a dozen eggs to make an angel food cake! May have to get my own chickens.... lol

Admin thankfully our apricot and peach tree are doing really well (just planted last year) We have one blueberry bush, one wild strawberry barrel, two overbearing strawberry barrels, a blackberry and raspberry barrel As we can afford (and find space) I am filling the yard with plants that are beautiful AND we can eat from them

I think it is because we usually have a late frost. I can see a few plums this year and ONE peach on my two peach trees... UGH! I was thinking of planting more fruit trees, but just don't know if they would produce well. I did plant some grape vines, though. Will see how that goes...

Yes, angel food cake is my favorite. But only made with my Mom's recipe. It is INCREDIBLE! One just for me each time and one to share. Luckily, eggs are not TOO bad here if shopping in the right places or going directly to family farms to buy, which there are a TON of in this area. My MiL used to love strawberry shortcake with a light pound cake. If eggs are just too much there, check that out. The pound cake holds up well with the wet strawberries and whipped cream, just like angel food cake does.
