I really think that this video shows the 'evil' in what dt is doing to this country, and the world, in that he constantly pushes lies and false narratives to advance his own self interest and enrichment along with his 'friends.'
He is now advancing what he knows is a false notion that there is "white genocide" going on in South Africa, when he knows full well that is not true, but he does it as a dog whistle to the white extremist groups here who support him, just as he also pushes the anti-DEI initiatives because of their concerns about 'racial purity.' And all this after he just came back from the mid-east, accepting his luxury 'flying palace' as a gift, and telling them that the world should not judge them for human rights violations.....
I don't know how anyone could watch this video and not see that for Donald Trump, and those who are clamoring to support him, it's all about personal gain at the expense of others, and at the expense of truth, decency, and duty to any noble cause.
They don't care who gets hurt. They don't care that they are tearing this country apart with their lies and criminality. They don't care about babies, old people, sick people, poor people, working people.... They don't care about justice. They just don't. It's about what they think they can GAIN at the expense of others.
For dt, it's about the art of the grift or 'deal'... what HE can get for himself and then feel like he is so smart for being able to get away with it, at the expense of others.

..and sadly, making us widely hated as well. I can’t imagine going abroad now, I’d feel that I had to justify myself before many justifiably angry world citizens.
Being a citizen of Putin’s Russia is no worse…smh-greenman

for some time now. We will be gone for a couple of weeks very soon traveling in Greece. We had planned this trip about a year ago. So, while I don't feel good about it, I know my husband really wants to go. It's just sad that this so called president/leader has done so much damage, worldwide really. He/they are just so corrupt, self-serving, and do not care who they hurt.

My ancient Greek teacher in college went to Greece with her husband, and the only moment of awkwardness was when the Greeks in a small village thought she was German (she was blond). When she explained they were Americans, all was well and friendly. I wonder if that’s still true?
We’ve always wanted to go there, too… birthplace of democracy and the great philosophers... Don’t know why we haven’t been there yet… seems like we’ve been everywhere else! lol
Yeah, it’s embarrassing to be an American these days. So much for being a beacon of hope to the world for freedom, democracy, hope and dignity. Now we are a disgrace and a menace it seems.
Wish us luck getting through Newark airport!

I have been stressing about this for a long time. Our flight to Greece goes out of Newark. We checked into changing the flight to a different airport, but it would cost us $5k extra. It's nuts.
So... if we die, we die. One would only hope that something would be learned from life's lessons, but there are no guarantees in life, and certainly not these days. So we fly by the seat of our pants... kinda like that pilot who said (before crashing into those homes recently) "doesn't sound great, but we'll give it a go."
We've already had a good go at life anyway. And from what I've seen from our parents going through so much at the end of their lives, a plane crash might even be merciful.
I wouldn't worry too much.

Newark IS a mess, but they are AREN'T routinely crashing and wiping out planeloads of travelers. Just make sure you have plenty of time to waste waiting.
