Alex Padilla, a Democratic California senator and a vocal critic of the Trump administration’s immigration polices, was forcibly removed from a press conference held by Kristi Noem, the homeland security secretary, in Los Angeles on Thursday.
He was then forced to the ground and handcuffed. In video taken of the incident that has since gone viral on social media, Padilla is being restrained and removed from the room by multiple men.
“I’m Senator Alex Padilla. I have questions for the secretary,” Padilla is heard saying, as he struggles to get past the men removing him from the premises.
He can also be heard saying, “Hands off!”
In a statement from Padilla’s office, his team said: “Senator Padilla is currently in Los Angeles exercising his duty to perform congressional oversight of the federal government’s operations in Los Angeles and across California. He was in the federal building to receive a briefing with General Guillot and was listening to Secretary Noem’s press conference.
He tried to ask the secretary a question, and was forcibly removed by federal agents, forced to the ground and handcuffed. He is not currently detained, and we are working to get additional information.”
If he's not DETAINED, then he's been ASSSAULTED. The State should call out the Guard to protect American citizens from this thuggery!-greenman
Just saw that. Absolutely OUTRAGEOUS!! Even a couple of GOP senators have spoken out against it!!
She turned the felon's head right off his shoulders, and that's how she got the job.
They're doing this because the courts keep giving them one more chance. When given one more chance, they got one more chance, and chances are next time they'll get one more chance. There comes a time when you simply have to bend the little bast@rd over your knee and give him an old fashioned behind the barn wallopin'.
I will be at the Denver protest Saturday. Denver is a target because it's sanctuary and the felon hates Polis. The Aurora apartment complex owner called the felon a liar for saying his complex was overtaken by Venezuelan gangs. Remember, I went to that rally. It was incredibly sparsely attended. The arena was curtained and blacked out so you couldn't really tell how much was empty, unless you went to a gap in the curtains, which happened to have security present to prevent people from seeing how empty the place was.
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Yes, she's a fool

Bad person (dog-killer), bad governor (awful during COVID), always a Trump suckup, in the wrong job...like Miller she has a talent for fascism.
You be careful Saturday, OK? Although I commend you highly for stepping out and speaking out. This is going to have to be stopped!-greenman
