He is right. That is the original mistake but the Dems made it worse by not backing Joe. They should have either pushed him EARLY to bow out, or backed him all the way.

Instead they did nothing, and Biden's people were like 'Well, I guess we run again.' Thought about not voting at all after they substituted Harris - since I assumed she'd lose - but because of Trump I did vote the straight blue ticket. Will I next time? Remains to be seen. Democrats have REALLY disappointed me. -greenman

They rightly said she didn't do that much about the border (even though she wasn't technically a 'border Czar'). She was kind of a weak selection as VP, although Biden's rep overcame that. But he was stupefied by the felon's brazen lies, and the outrageous things he said. He clearly underestimated and did not prepare for the real felon. Who could? When you deal with a dishonest person, you should expect anything, and not be outraged or stupefied by veracity of their lies. If I was Biden, I would have jumped all over that, making the biggest deal of it possible. I would have eviscerated the felon. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
